HOME IS WHERE YOUR HEART IS. is a young fashion label founded by Moritz Hippich in 2009. The young label with its lovely name produces handmade t-shirts, hoodies and accessoires with great attention to detail and makes every piece unique.
These t-shirts arise out of music, life and love - off the rack up to favourite clothes, that you look forward to having them back in your wardrobe every day anew. The daily must-haves and companions.
HOME IS WHERE YOUR HEART IS. is a message, an attitude and a fashion label alltogether. Most inspiration comes from the music… and above all there is the distance to a girlfriend… what on the other hand makes the name.
This is what forms HOME IS WHERE YOUR HEART IS. and turns this label into what it is.
STORY. A few years ago, the first designs were ready. Handmade t-shirts were printed at some half-assed print offices, as cheap as possible and in a very small edition, mostly for personal use or friends. With new options, more time and the necessary dough, in 2009 HOME IS WHERE YOUR HEART IS. finally began.
The ideas and designs emerge by chance: on the road, during a concert or by a cool poster, but most of all by music – sometimes a single line of a text is inspiring – and at times you find them on a t-shirt. Every shirt is special, the colours match and the labels are sewed on... with the ambition to make the wearer proud.
The HOME IS WHERE YOUR HEART IS. gear is handled and surveyed at every design step. All textiles are counted, labelled and numbered by hand.
The first two collections were released in 2010. In spring 2011 the third collection came out. Among t-shirts and hoodies of the „Spring & Summer Collection 2011“, colourful accessoires like buttons, mesh-caps and fashion bags became part of the new collection, to delight the fans of HOME IS WHERE YOUR HEART IS. and target more people.
In summer 2011 the upcoming fall and winter gear was set up. With more lead-time and even more attention to detail, the fourth collection went to press in august 2011. The new collection brought out more motives than expected, but many bright faces as well.
In September the most elaborate photo shooting in the history of HOME IS WHERE YOUR HEART IS. took place – captured by the young and really talented photographer Elisabeth Keller [Liz Ke Fotografie].Finally a dream becomes true: the first official HOME IS WHERE YOUR HEART IS. lookbook was published with the „Fall & Winter Collection 2011“ in october. Another, new chapter begins…
…and continues in 2012. The fifth collection by now was in the formation phase at the beginning of 2012. Just three motives but all the more styles. Luckily we found an extra manufacturer and a better print shop for the new collection, so the „Spring & Summer Collection 2012“ went to press in may.
The gorgeous motives were captured photo-optical once more and were published in the form of a lookbook with the new collection in june 2012. The girl behind the camera was photographer Annegret Arnold [www.annegretarnold.de].
And as you may already know… there won’t be just one collection in 2012. With winter coming the „Fall & Winter Collection 2012“ was released. The sixth collection of HOME IS WHERE YOUR HEART IS. comprises five motives and about 43 styles. More selection than ever before! The F/W 2012 was finally released in november.
One more time the HOME IS WHERE YOUR HEART IS. prints were „pulled in front of a lens“. Together with photographer Finja Nissen [www.finjanissen.com] we ran through Hamburg City to take pictures of the new collection at the most beautiful venues of Hamburg. The results were captured in a third lookbook and were released with the new collection.
MUSIC. A big part of HOME IS WHERE YOUR HEART IS. is the passion for music. The name and the gear are to connect music, bands, fans and clothes and spread this little message.
